Cyclocean offers: survey and permitting; construction; deployment; service and maintenance. 1) An ocean current farm is evaluated, permitted, and a test unit deployed. 2) If conditions are favourable, construction is implemented. 3) A working subsurface generator is deployed, serviced and maintained. The units are positively buoyant allowing them to be brought to the surface and floated for service and maintenance. Their design is simple, with few moving parts and stable materials, so service is easy. 4) Additional units can be added as required to cater for local demand. The power generated by an ocean current farm is transmitted via underwater cable to inland electricity grids.
